Tonight, I had a dream where I was going to a record store where on the Zappa shelf were standing 4 new Au20 Rykodisc records : Over-Nite Sensation, Roxy & Elsewhere, Tinsel Town Rebellion, and You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 1

And a few months ago, I dreamt they were releasing again the 3" CD singles (Montana (Whipping Floss), Peaches En Regalia, Zomby Woof, Sexual Harassment In The Workplace), each record was packaged with a tall 150-page book.

I've dreamt a lot of times about entering a CD-shop and buying lots of awesome records, only to find out I didn't get that vinyl Ruben when I wake up.

Not so much this^ sort...
I had a dream I was carrying Daniel Lawrence "Larry" Whitney's decapitated head around in a brown paper bag.
I did not know where I was taking it, but I did know that it was going to be reattached at some point.
Yet this did not stop me (and a few strangers) from taking turns punching it repeatedly.
And I rememeber thinking "oh man, he is going to be so pissed once he gets this back on!".
Maybe because we were putting a great deal of visible injury on that head.

I'm dreaming of a record shop in my hometown often. The shop doesn't really exist. But it looks great everytime I'm there :P

I used to dream about Frank and his music quite often. Not so much anymore though. The dreams were always great, with lots of music which I guess I wrote in my subconscious...

Sometimes I dream with Frank's music playing, note by note in the original arrangement, rarely, maybe once, I dreamed I was talking to Frank and going through his record collection... I also once dreamed attending an 88 tour gig.

I had a dream a few nights ago where I was watching Zappa conduct a massive orchestra playing Sinister Footwear. I was sat up on a balcony watching him and hearing the most wonderful music. He looked at peace and happy. His hair was graying but he looked well. I was the only one in the hall/theatre.

Love this one, what a feeling to be alone watching the master.
In a way, this reminds me Pauline Butcher's book when she witnesses FZ composing alone on his piano in an isolated room.

Ok, it happened again (the steamboat dream),
and it really escalated from there.
The pasengers were on fire. The serpents were watching(/waiting). The skies were crumbling in whispers.
Yes, we experienced several levels of sky time.
The captain and I had... well, some issues.
He and I go way back. yet, I had no idea.
And apparently he had all the ideas. especially regarding steam heat.

I am not saying I caused this whole thing.
but I am also not saying I didn't.

The snipers held fire for SOME reason.

Let us remember that.

Also, the cuts in the screen were cut from the inside OUT.
This should tell you (hopefully) quite a bit about who wanted out and just how badly.

ok, just took a nap and woke up from this one:

i was in a cop car (passenger's seat)... yes, i WAS dreaming! Image
and driving the car seemed to be a cocker spaniel. the backseat seemed to be occupied by 2 yorkshire terriers and a mailman.
i won't go into deep detail on who the mailman was, but let's just say his name rhymes with bilford wrimley.
anyway, we seemed to be going "back to where the thing was" Image / Image (whatever THAT means!) and we were having the damndest time getting there.
first of all, my phone kept ringing, but it wasn't a phone at all. it was a slice of pizza hut pizza. i want to say "meat lovers", then again...
it looked like it could have been something as simple as a double cheese and applewood bacon... Image, sorry/ANYWAY, my grandma was trying to call me.
don't ask how i knew, i just did, and for some reason, she wanted me to "squeeze bo bo's temples". i know, right!? so... i knew that i had to do that - pronto.
needless to say, i was trying to rush this thing along. suddenly, the driver (remember... that cocker spaniel?) caught on fire and pulled the car into a muddy football field.
i am pretty sure i wanted him to pull the car into the carwash across the street, but when i pointed to the carwash, my finger turned to glass and exploded.
i took that as a sign and decided to wake up.

do you blame me?

Pride is an abomination. One must forego the self to obtain total spiritual creaminess, and avoid the chewy chunks of degradation.

I had a recurring dream of being in this huge record store. I'd walk around until I would get to the "Z" section.
I'd browse through the Zappa section and find LPs regularly available. Tucked away in the back were 5 or 6 LPs
with similar album covers, but all with different song titles. I picked one LP up and read the liner notes..
"This is #1 in a series of unreleased music by Frank Zappa. This series runs the gamut of early Mothers
of Invention (1966) up to Frank's orchestral music (1992). Collect them all You'll be glad you did."
The dream was so vivid and believable I thought to myself in the dream. I'll have to go to the record
store tomorrow and buy this!
