Some silly stuff, and some interesting stuff. I don't take this too seriously, but it is fun to think about. You never know right?

The Jeffrey Epstein case is why people believe in Pizzagate

The arrest of the apparent billionaire investor Jeffrey Epstein at a New Jersey airport on Saturday on federal charges for crimes he was accused of during the Bush administration should not be surprising to anyone who has followed the news carefully. He may have escaped in 2008 with a ludicrous one-year stint in a county jail that he was allowed to leave six days a week, but his name has never quite been out of the headlines. Between 2008 and 2015 Epstein reportedly settled more than a dozen lawsuits from Jane Does alleging sexual assault; the youngest of his alleged victims was 14 years old.

The only question is why did it take this long? Why was the ludicrous deal that gave Epstein and his fellow conspirators immunity in exchange for a slap-on-the-wrist jail sentence ever allowed to go through in the first place?

The most obvious answer is, of course, that Epstein knows people. Lots of people. A list of his reported friends, business associates, and legal counselors reads like a #MeToo and Manhattan sleazebag All-Star team, with a few stringers pulled in from the media and both political parties: Woody Allen, Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Mort Zuckerman, Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz, Ken Starr, Katie Couric, George Stephanopoulos, the current president of the United States. The obscene deal that kept Epstein out of what could easily have been a life sentence in prison was negotiated by Alexander Acosta, the current Secretary of Labor, who was then a federal prosecutor in Florida. In 2002, Graydon Carter, the longtime editor of Vanity Fair, removed references to Epstein's sexual activity from a profile, including testimony from alleged victims, according to the article's author. "He's sensitive about the young women," Carter is said to have explained. Won't somebody please not think of the children?

It will be at least another week before 2,000 or so pages of documents related to Epstein's exploits will be released following the order of an appeals court last week. When we finally see them we will likely be able to answer questions about the identities of the "numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well‐known Prime Minister, and other world leaders" who have also been accused of sexual abuse by Epstein's alleged victims. Is one of them a Razorbacks football fan? Who was the "famous prime minister"? Was Trump speaking from personal experience when he said in 2002 that Epstein "likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side"?

We should keep all of this in mind the next time we feel inclined to sneer at so-called "low-information voters," especially the kookier sort. You know the people I mean. Wackos. Gun nuts. 8channers. Conspiracy theorists in Middle America who watch InfoWars (one of the few journalistic outlets to discuss the issue of pedophilia regularly) and post about QAnon and "spirit cooking" and the lizard people. The news that a globalized cabal of billionaires and politicians and journalists and Hollywood bigwigs might be flying around the world raping teenaged girls will not surprise them in the least because it is what they have long suspected. For the rest of us it is like finding out that the Jersey Devil is real or turning on cable news and finding Anderson Cooper and his panel engaged in a matter-of-fact discussion of Elvis’s residence among the Zixls on the 19th moon of Dazotera.

Among other things, the Epstein case forces us to ask ourselves some uncomfortable questions about the real meaning of "fake" news. There is, or should be, more to being informed than fact-checking formalism. If you have spent the last few years earnestly consuming mainstream left-of-center media in this country you will be under the impression that the United States has fallen under the control of a spray-tanned Mussolini clone who is never more than five minutes away from making birth control illegal. If you watch Fox News and read conservative publications, you no doubt bemoan the fact that Ronald Reagan's heir is being hamstrung by a bunch of avocado toast-eating feminist witches. Meanwhile, Alex Jones's audience will tell you that America, like the rest of the world, is ruled by a depraved internationalist elite whose ultimate allegiance is not to countries or political parties or ideologies but to one another. These people believe in nothing. They will safeguard their wealth and privilege at any cost. They will never break rank. And they will commit unspeakable crimes with impunity, while anyone who dares to speculate openly is sued or hounded out of public life as a kook.

Which of these worldviews is closest to the truth?

Roswell alien was sub-human creation of Auschwitz Nazi Josef Mengele claim
By Sean Martin
PUBLISHED: 12:13, Thu, May 9, 2019 | UPDATED: 14:13, Thu, May 9, 2019

https://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/1124916/roswell-new-mexico-ufo-area-51-soviet-union-cold-war-aliens-alien-news

THE Roswell UFO incident of 1947 was not ALIEN visitors but actually a Soviet spy plane sent to spook the US at the beginning of the Cold War, according to extensive research carried out on the subject.

In 1947, a mysterious flying disc was reported to have landed in the desert of New Mexico near the town of Roswell. The US Air Force rushed to the scene and claimed a weather balloon had crashed, but 70 years later, conspiracy theorists still maintain an alien flying saucer had crashed. However, one researcher believes both of these claims are false, and that the crash was that of a Soviet plane carrying deformed soldiers which was sent to spy and spook US citizens.

This is at least according to journalist Annie Jacobson who believes the Soviet Union was employing “dark propaganda” to send the US into meltdown.

Following the end of the Second World War, Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin employed Nazi doctor Josef Mengele, who had conducted horrendous human experiments at Auschwitz and had become known as the ‘Angel of Death’, to create “grotesque, child-size” pilots who could be placed on board a small plane which was flown remotely.

In return for Dr Mengele’s experiments, Stalin promised the former Nazi a eugenics lab where his unethical experiments could continue.

After the ‘child pilots’ were created, of which there are scant details on how this actually happened, Stalin and the Soviet Union sent them on a small aircraft to the US.

The plan was then to have the plane land in the US, where citizens would see the “grotesque” children and think they were aliens and cause mass hysteria – similar to the 1937 radio broadcast of Orson Welles’ War of The Worlds, according to Ms Jacobson, who authored the book Area 51: An Uncensored History of America’s Top Secret Military Base.

Ms Jacobson told the Fresh Air podcast: “The child-sized aviators in this craft were the result of a Soviet human experimentation program, and they had been made to look like aliens a la Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds, and it was a warning shot over President Truman’s bow, so to speak.

“In 1947, when this would have originally happened, the Soviets did not yet have the nuclear bomb, and Stalin and Truman were locked in horns with one another, and Stalin couldn’t compete in nuclear weaponry yet, but he certainly could compete in the world of black propaganda — and that was his aim, according to my source.

“If you look at the timeline with Josef Mengele, he left Auschwitz in January of 1945 and disappeared for a while, and the suggestion by my source is that Mengele had already cut his losses with the Third Reich at that point and was working with Stalin.

“The plan, according to my source, was to create panic in the United States with this belief that a UFO had landed with aliens inside of it.

“And one of the most interesting documents is the second CIA director, Walter Bedell Smith, memos back and forth to the National Security Council talking about how the fear is that the Soviets could make a hoax against America involving a UFO and overload our early air-defence warning system, making America vulnerable to an attack.”

Epstein suicide sparks fresh round of conspiracy theories
By DAVID KLEPPER and AMANDA SEITZ

https://www.apnews.com/362e6ccf61014d7fbaeb35e1b5d793a9

Jeffrey Epstein’s apparent suicide Saturday morning in a federal jail launched new conspiracy theories online in a saga that has provided fodder for them for years, fueled by Epstein’s ties to princes, politicians and other famous and powerful people.

Online theorists Saturday quickly offered unsubstantiated speculation — including some retweeted by President Donald Trump — that Epstein’s death wasn’t a suicide, or it was faked.

That chatter picked up on the conjecture that resurged after Epstein’s July 6 arrest on allegations that he orchestrated a sex-trafficking ring designed to bring him teenage girls. Some of his accusers have described being sexually abused by the wealthy financier’s friends and acquaintances.

The combination created fertile ground for theories and misinformation to breed on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Epstein, 66, had been denied bail and faced up to 45 years behind bars on federal sex trafficking and conspiracy charges unsealed last month. He had pleaded not guilty and was awaiting trial next year.

His relationships with President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton and Britain’s Prince Andrew were at the center of those online rumors and theories, many of which question what politicians knew about Epstein’s alleged sex crimes.

Others theories, however, have been easily debunked.

For example, days after his arrest online memes and Facebook statuses wrongly claimed the Obama administration, in order to protect former President Clinton, forged a once-secret deal in 2008 in Florida that allowed him to plead guilty to soliciting a minor for prostitution to avoid more serious charges. The deal was actually executed before President Barack Obama took office , under former President George W. Bush.

Meanwhile, a manipulated photo , shared by thousands on Twitter and Facebook, falsely claimed to show Epstein with Trump and a young Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter.

Both Clinton and Trump have denied being privy to Epstein’s alleged scheme.

Clinton spokesman Angel Ureña said the former president “knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York.” He said that, in 2002 and 2003, Clinton took four trips on Epstein’s plane with multiple stops and that staff and his Secret Service detail traveled on every leg.

Trump has acknowledged knowing Epstein but said he “had a falling out with him a long time ago.”

Other Epstein theories floating online have been darker, especially after Epstein was found injured on the floor of his cell last month with bruises on his neck. Some online commentators described it as a “murder attempt.”

“Men in high places want Epstein dead,” one Twitter use wrote.

Hours after Epstein’s death Saturday, as the hashtag #EpsteinMurder was trending worldwide on Twitter, the president joined Twitter speculation around Epstein’s death while under the federal government’s watch.

Trump, who rose to conservative prominence by falsely claiming Obama wasn’t born in the U.S., retweeted unsubstantiated claims about Epstein’s death.

Other politicians also took to social media to question the circumstances.

Republican Sen. Rick Scott of Florida, the state where some of Epstein’s alleged sexual abuse crimes took place, suggested the possibility that others might have been involved in Epstein’s death when he called on corrections officials to explain what happened at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.

“The Federal Bureau of Prisons must provide answers on what systemic failures of the MCC Manhattan or criminal acts allowed this coward to deny justice to his victims,” he tweeted.

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, now an attorney for Trump, tweeted out several questions about Epstein’s death.

“Who was watching? What does camera show? ... Follow the motives” Giuliani tweeted Saturday afternoon.

The FBI and the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General will investigate the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death, Attorney General William Barr said.

“Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered,” Barr said in a news release.

Epstein’s suicide was likely recorded by jail cameras, according to Preet Bharara, the former federal prosecutor in Manhattan.

“One hopes it is complete, conclusive, and secured,” he tweeted.

Epstein’s arrest last month launched separate investigations into how authorities handled his case initially when similar charges were first brought against him in Florida more than a decade ago. U.S. Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta resigned last month after coming under fire for overseeing that deal when he was U.S. attorney in Miami.

Epstein’s lawyers maintained that the new charges in New York were covered by the 2008 plea deal and that Epstein hadn’t had any illicit contact with underage girls since serving his 13-month sentence in Florida.

ANOTHER TRUMP CONSPIRACY THEORY

Trump Jr tries to claim Twitter is biased after #TrumpBodyCount trends

Donald Trump Jr has attempted to claim that Twitter is biased after #TrumpBodyCount began to trend on the social media site, and #ClintonBodyCount didn't.

On Sunday, the hashtag #TrumpBodyCount began to trend amid debates about president Donald Trump retweeting a conspiracy theory about the Clintons assassinating political enemies.

The trending phrase referenced another widely used hashtag, #ClintonsBodyCount.

The hashtag was being used to discuss the conspiracy theory that the Clintons are responsible for killing people who have the potential to harm their political reputation, reports the Daily Dot.

In response to the hashtag trending, Trump Jr tweeted:

"Twitter allowing 'Trump Body Count' to trend while 'Clinton Body Count' has WAY more tweets (but isn’t trending) is peak Twitter."

On Saturday, president Trump retweeted a tweet from the conservative commentator Terrance K Williams, that suggested the Clintons were responsible for the recent death of the disgraced financier and convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

In the retweet, the hashtag #TrumpBodyCount and #ClintonBodyCount were both used.

Not only did Epstein NOT commit suicide, he was never in prison to begin with.
Try wrapping your head around that one.

Unacknowledged: An Exposé of the World's Greatest Secret
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiSKF8JjoSc

"Unacknowledged" focuses on the historic files of the Disclosure Project and how UFO secrecy has been ruthlessly enforced - and why. The best evidence for Extraterrestrial contact, dating back decades, is presented with direct top-secret witness testimony, documents and UFO footage, 80% of which has never been revealed anywhere else. The behind-the-scenes research and high level meetings convened by Dr. Steven Greer will expose the degree of illegal, covert operations at the core of UFO secrecy. From briefings with the CIA Director, top Pentagon Generals and Admirals, to the briefing of President Obama via senior advisor John Podesta, chairman of the Hillary Clinton Campaign - we take the viewer behind the veil of secrecy and into the corridors of real power where the UFO secrets reside. The viewer will learn that a silent coup d’état has occurred dating back to the 1950s and that the Congress, the President and other world leaders have been sidelined by criminal elements within the Military-Industrial-Financial complex.

Great find Mr.GG, I had never seen that before and amazingly he is in line with a theory we discussed in the past that what is called Weird Phenomenon will someday be explained by science...I am thoroughly convinced what is known as the spiritual world, spiritual phenomenon, mental telepathy, Magic and so on will end up being the missing piece for the unified field theory...

Chuck E. Cheese’s “recycled slices” theory joins long line of pizza conspiracies
Kate Bernot

Pizza is one of the most American of foods, so it’s not surprising it’s become a saucy canvas upon which we project our hopes, our fears, our longings. Pizza has figured in horrible political rumors, racial controversies, as well as less-weighty “scandals.” Over the past few years, pizza chains have somehow become ground zero for conspiracy theories, the latest of which involves accusations that Chuck E. Cheese’s recycles uneaten pizza slices from previous orders into new pies.

The theory is making the internet rounds this week, with its origins in a video by Shane Dawson, a YouTuber who has a series of “conspiracy” videos that have tens of millions of views. His theory—and he’s quick to say this is just his “opinion” and not a fact—is that Chuck E. Cheese’s doesn’t always make its pizzas fresh, instead collecting uneaten pieces from tables and rearranging them into “new” pies that they rebake. Yeah, that sounds super gross, but how does he back up his claims? He shares footage of Chuck E. Cheese’s pizzas he’s ordered as well as those he’s seen photos of online, where uneven pieces do appear to not fit together into a whole, intact pie: “It never lines up. If you pushed this pizza together, there’s no fucking way that’s a circle. It almost looks like they glued it together.” He also cites online posts from other people claiming to share his theory.

Obviously, Chuck E. Cheese’s denies Dawson’s theory. In a statement to Buzzfeed News, a spokesperson calls the claims “unequivocally false” and says all pies are made to order. A former Chuck E. Cheese’s employee also tells Buzzfeed the variation in slice shapes can be due to the tools used to cut them, as well as cheese shrinkage in the oven.

So, whether you chose to believe Dawson’s conspiracy—he says the mystery remains “unsolved”—or the Chuck E. Cheese’s statement, the fact remains that Chuck E. Cheese’s pizza is far from anyone’s favorite anyway, and few adults have any occasion to eat it. Just file this theory away in your Pizza Conspiracies drawer, next to the frozen DiGiorno boxes at Little Caesar’s incident and former Papa John’s CEO John Schnatter’s “Save Papa John’s” truther website. If you’re so paranoid about your takeout pizza, I guess the only solution is to make it yourself with a tin hat on.
