I remember seeing this news when he died. Felt sad to see a good guy go. Also felt bad that I was a jerk to him here. His death made me realize that sometimes our instincts are just wrong. The evidence might be on our side, our intentions may be good, but we can still be wrong about judgements we make about others.

Having you, plook, say good things about him, made me reassess my prior online interactions with him. That he wasn't the jerk I thought him to be &that maybe I was the jerk. He taught me this simple thing after he died. Thanks, man! I feel better now.
Rest in peace Pope Jim!

I've had that same realization, something about talking in this format makes it easy to misunderstand and be misunderstood, I wish more people on the line realized that fact...

Nice to see you back here, punknaynowned.

He's a recent sad reminder that it's not a hollow claim that some of us are going to die before some of the big releases that we have been waiting for over twenty years now.

1. Be alive
2. Be alive for Zappa releases
3. Be dead

That's pretty much my order of preference.

Me too. On my second viewing. Not sure if it's after the show, or during the soundcheck. Dweezil and George were in the lobby after each performance.

This was Popes last full ZPZ show; and what a killer it was. I believe he was there for both shows, as he traveled all the way from Oregon.
Maybe on the actual Dvd the fan pictures part will be longer. I remember the camera crew people were everywhere.

RIP - George Duke
RIP - Jim Wilson
