The tour in 1988 features several popular cover songs. While previous tours have had some cover songs or quotes, I don't think they were featured like they were in 1988. Has there been any commentary (or reasons) as to this musical decision by FZ? Just curious.

the 88 band could toss quotes into songs & give them a completely different mood for a few bars; many quotes can be classified as archetypal american musical icons [twilight zone, my three sons, battle hymn of the republic etc]

Just listening to Genoa 88 and you're right; there are a lot of note quotes, just for one concert!
