After 1966 Zappa was a shell of his former self. Sad, really.

FZ suffered from the often discussed difficult 60 follow up albums and the next 38 that sealed the deal on his failed career

He really didn't do anything of note after appearing on the Steve Allen Show. Sad really.

Yeah...after Freak Out!, everything went downhill. Not only was Frank THE worst guitar player on the face of the planet but he hired the worst musicians imaginable to play with him. He couldn't write for shit, especially since he indulged in all these pretentious time signatures. He was ugly as fuck AND was also a total loser.

Fuck him!!!

She Drew The Gun deliver modern take on Frank Zappa classic Trouble Every Day
Words: Stephen Byrne

Article Published: September 7, 2019

She Drew The Gun have reworked Frank Zappa’s classic protest song Trouble Every Day to reflect the modern times with the blessing of Frank Zappa’s estate.
https://www.goldenplec.com/she-drew-the-gun-deliver-modern-take-on-frank-zappa-classic-trouble-every-day/

I heard Trouble Every Day and thought it would make a great cover, Frank Zappa wrote it based on the TV coverage of the Watts riots in LA back in the 60’s, so I rewrote some of the lyrics to reflect what I’ve seen reported on the TV in more recent times, from English riots to the Extinction Rebellion protests” says singer, Louisa Roach.

“It takes a look at the issues that are facing us at the moment from the rise of the far right to the threat of climate change and the role the global media corporations play in supporting neoliberal ideology.”

She Drew The Gun’s second studio album ‘Revolution of Mind’ was a BBC 6 Music Recommends Album Of The Year 2018 a successful tour followed including a date in the Workman’s in February. Now She Drew The Gun are set to return to Ireland for shows in Belfast and Dublin as part of the Trouble Every Day tour this November.

^^^ Thanx. The track soundz good, dig the rubberband snare. Not a fan of the vocals or the lyrics rewrites. I even agree with the lyric sentiments, but it just comes off as a whiney litany of stuff.

So I guess you never heard any of the stuff he did before Freak Out was made.
I have a collection of music Frank did when he worked for Paul Buff at the PAL studio as an engineer and session musician prior to 1965.
