finally got my grubby paws all over this heavy dose of zapp-o-liciousness; vinnie goes fucking berserk on keep it greasy, the guy double times like no other drummer & barrow's no slouch keeping up with vinnie & ike on the track

plus i've always thought outside now was underrated as a stand-alone track, in the same league as ¿ inca roads maybe ¿ ... this boot has a superb rendition, frank poots forth a weapons-grade solo that could have easily been extracted for guitar or su&pyg; same with the pick me solo, 'cept my copy gets cut off at a most inauspicious turn of the pick; same with the tiny lights solo, doesn't get cut off & coulda been return of the son of the variations on that ole g-minor carlos chord regression thang again

the sbd quality doesn't hurt, not as 1-dimesional as most sbd's Image

this one is fun to compare with buffalo, solos are a little angrier & vinnie is right up front

Checked this out on YouTube this afternoon... It was only in 240p but it still sounded worlds better than most Zappa boots. I found myself just sitting and taking in as much of the music as I possibly could for the first time in a while; I really can't say enough good about this, it's easily my favorite post-Joe's Garage concert I've heard yet (I'm ready for the 3-4 people out there who think Zappa concerts in the eighties were the GROOVIEST to disagree with me).

It's one of my favorites. You can tell that part of Pick Me I'm Clean was taken from this one for Tinseltown Rebellion. And a bit of She's Not There in City Of Tiny Lites too.

I must admit, when I heard Frank throw "She's Not There" in the mix, I laughed just like I did when I first heard Flo & Eddie burst into "Happy Together" on Fillmore East - June 1971, it's the lovable musical humor from Zappa I fell in love with in high school...
