I have stumbled across the website of Nash the Slash. He was a very keen concert goer to the Rockpile in Toronto during the '60s and took some pictures.

I think he took either 2 or 3 sets in early 1969, and some of the images are rather good. I think he may have mixed up some of the dates.

There are other historic photo sets too.

Can someone post up a link and clarify the dates the images are from.

I think the website is www.nashtheslash.com

look out for the grave markers at the top of his home page or similar to find the historic link.

Has anybody seen them yet?

Click Rock Photos at the top, then click the book. Then click list of artists, then click Mothers of Invention.

IMO, just because they're unpublished doesn't mean they're all that great, but it's nice to see them.

Personally I Like them, but I regard them as a form of Archaeology.

Nash has listed the dates of the Toronto concerts, and if correct (assuming that cross corroboration is kosher) it shows that Dick Kunc has not yet wielded the butchers knife to the Les Paul.

All the stages of Zappa's live guitar sound developed between feb and July 1969
