Depends if he ripped this stuff in FLAC or 128 kbit/s MP3.

Maybe that was mentioned before but I'd really be happy with the complete shows that were used in Baby Snakes on an album.

I once heard a much longer version of 200 Years Old from BF.
It contained extended FZ guitar and Duke piano solos.

I'd love to hear it again. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I think that can be found on the CB/FZ boot CHRONICLE (and even that one fades out).

Yep, that'd be great.

YCDTOSA vol2 is so good, I think it'd be good to have some more live stuff from that lineup.

Interview with Dweezil: http://charlotte.creativeloafing.com/gy ... oid=336045

I was going to ask if there are plans to keep releasing stuff ...

"Yeah, we have a few things that are coming out. One thing that just came out is called One Shot Deal and it's got a couple things that people haven't heard before from the vault. We're also coming up on some pretty big 40th anniversaries of some pivotal records in the history of rock music, so that stuff's gonna be coming out with some special packaging soon."

I guess that would be the long awaited Hot Rats rarities?

A press release from the ZFT:
http://top40-charts.com/news/Rock/A-Wor ... 41850.html

Rock (2008-07-24)
A Word On The Zappa Family Trust: AAAFNRAA

New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - The Zappa Family Trust, headed by Frank Zappa's widow Gail Zappa, operates under the principal of AAAFNRAA: Anything, Anywhere, Anytime For No Reason At All. It's a phrase that Frank Zappa used often in his lifetime and it serves as a guiding principle for much of the work carried out by the Trust today.
Gail says, "It is a key factor in the decision-making process that governs our output. Strange things happen for inexplicable reasons; we like to take advantage of the possibilities that may come from these events.
We like to do that more than we like to try to figure out why they occurred."

While traditional record labels plan release schedules months in advance, Vaulternative and Zappa Records, two labels administered by the Trust, often release albums on Zappa.com with little to no warning. Gail Zappa and archivist/Vaultmeister Joe Travers released the new compilation album 'One Shot Deal,' collated from Frank Zappa assemblages, concert tracks and outtakes from 1972 to 1981, as soon as it rolled off the assembly line.
The new Honker Home Video (another imprint administered by the Trust) DVD release "The Torture Never Stops" comes with special cardboard No-D (think 3-D, but the opposite) glasses. Take a look:
The Zappa Family Trust's mission is to celebrate and protect the legacy of Frank Zappa. Frank Zappa, American composer, was born in 1940 and died in 1993.
Expect plenty more surprises in 2008 from the Zappa Family Trust.

I think we need another project like Classic Albums: Apostrophe (')/Over-Nite Sensation.
I wonder what qualification Joe has as video archivist.
They have alots of videos, films there i would ask steven spielberg hey come over for a week to make a lil movie hahaha!

More '88 stuff. Maybe an official Boston show release. But I mostly want '82 band stuff. They were so killer. That was a group that shredded through all the material. Great vocals on that tour too.

Now that we have Bat Chain Puller, some JLP from RT2 and at least some music from ROXY, Mt. SAt Mary's and Royce Hall seem like they are the projects everyone would like to hear.

I really believe that we will get some Beefheart from '75.

To me, and I have the Ed Seeman stuff, I want Garrick footage and I do believe some useful footage exists.

More of that early-mid 70's stuff with Duke, Ponty, Chester, Ruth, etc....

I'd like to see the LAST 1988 show.

Just some entire concerts that represent each of his bands, like they WERE releasing here and there...just not enough of them...

Yep. Including all the video footage from both shows.

Hi,

Actually ... I think it would be nice if we could see a list of things, but I am inclined to believe that there are a lot of things that are not catalogued properly, or kinda defy description, and some of the warm up stuff for various concerts might be it. Someone wrote that the pre-show warm up was (in this case) about 30 to 35 minutes long, and it was non-stop, and some of it was not recognizable at all. And this was during the Sheik tour in California ... so the thought is, still, that there is a lot of material that is not classified, and not specified, and the trust has no idea how to introduce it.

Actually, hearing a piece 30 minutes long, that might have pieces from 10 other places, is just fine with me ... it might also help, in the end, bring this work to orchestras and classical groups ... but maybe the trust only know rock music and nothing else and can not find a solo on the guitar and thus, thinks that these pieces are worthless!

Oh well ... nice try Mosh!
