I've been gone over 3 years or so. I got my mmudshark email account back and my username was waiting for me here still! So, I guess the first thing I'll do is bump this one to the top again so all the new people over the last few years can see the pictures. I made up mmmudshark when I lost mmudshark. So, just ignore mmmudshark now. I'm baaaaaack! 8)

Has Chad detuned his bass drum front head there or has the camera caught it at just the moment after a thump when the pressure goes up? Or both?

And what does that say on that skin?

I finally photoshopped all the FZ concert pictures, yesterday and today. I improved the quality significantly. I love sophisticated software!

Listening to "You Are What You Is" as I write this. :P

Dont'cha just love his pinky? I wonder if it had a particular meaning for the musicians when he did that, or was he just fucking with our heads?

It looks like it could be both to me, and I'm a drummer, too.

The Idiot Bastard wrote a great book. I contributed a few 1988 FZ concert pictures. Here is my autographed copy (with the signature omitted in order to fight fraud).

A friend of mine is a radio engineer in Boston, has been for over 30 years.
Recently a colleague of his found some old photos from when he worked at WBCN in Boston.
Here are two of Frank working the sound board in studio.
Not sure of the date, but I'd guess mid to late 70's by the equipment in the studio and the fact that you see a window with people looking in. That's because in the early days of WBCN, their studio was on the skywalk floor of the Prudential Center building, with a window that visitors could look in on the DJ's. They moved out of that space and into a building near Fenway Park in 1981.
