Was looking for live versions of Waka/Jawaka so I searched through the FZShows text file and found only one occurrence from the concert below. Anybody know why Waka/Jawaka was seemingly neglected? I think it would've made a great addition to Make A Jazz Noise Here.

31-Oct 1972, Capitol Theatre, Passaic, NJ
Early Show: 73 min, Aud, B+/B
America Drinks, Imaginary Diseases, Cosmik Debris, Willie The Pimp, Montana, Farther Oblivion, Duke Of Prunes
Late Show: 87 min, Aud, B
I'm Not Satisfied, Don't You Ever Wash That Thing?, Little Dots, Rollo, Cosmik Debris, Imaginary Diseases, Farther Oblivion, Montana, America Drinks, Waka/Jawaka

That's a good question. I was just always happy with them playing Big Swifty. I never gave it another thought.

I know, I can't find it either. I thought I had heard there were more extant floaters out there, but I can't find them. Not in the '72 shows except that. for a second I thought maybe the hollywood bowl gig in sept, but no

Just the instrumentation needed to play Waka/Jawaka right seems like too much for eight people to pull off unless they had a pile of pre-recorded parts playing while they added whatever they could to it -- but that really sucks no matter how common it's become with performers. Dweezil playing along with a videotape of Frank is one thing while adding pre-recorded stuff in is entirely another.
