Thanks Unica,

set list and pics look good. Can you give us more information about the orchestra ? Why did the think it was a good idea to play FZ's music nowadays ?

The Xl-Jazz orchestra is a project that choose a different composer every year and exist of (very good) amateurs.
They worked on this for months and the result was very cool!

Sucked, I didn't know about this gig beforehand, so I wanted to go at last notice on Thursday at Rasa in Utrecht. Unfortunately it was already sold out, according to the girl on the phone.

Some of the guest soloists in the band are definitely pros though, like percussion player Hans Hasebos, who used to play marimba and vibes with the Grote Brokken, and Ephraim Trujillo who plays with Anton Goudsmit's quartet.

Hi There Zappa Fans
I'm the proud arranger and musical director of this Xl Jazz from Hell projekt.
Late november there will be a CD out with, I hope, a lot of the tracks we recorded earlier in september. The rough cut sounded pretty good......
Keep your eye and your ears out on the website where the CD will be anounced and where you probably can order one late november!:
