My family doesn't celebrate Daylight Savings Time, so I'm fine with it as it is.

But my daughter's school is getting all hissy, since she's showed up an hour late every day this month...

It's because daylight saving started early here.

You can change your time settings in your user control panel under "Board Preferences".

I had a problem posting an attachment yesterday on the Post More Random Photos thread. It said that the forum quota for attachments had been reached. I was able to post the photo as an image in the message. But, I am curious, is there an upper limit for attachments and does this mean we will not be able to post any more attachments?

Will look into it.

Might have just been your image size.. but I'll look under the hood.

sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached
-max size is currently 250kb per attached file

the limits may be based on total users and available server space; since 90% of users don't post, and over 50% of the users that post don't use attachments, you could probably increase the quota from 65 per user to approx 1,300 each based on 13,926 currently registered users

and while yer at it, mate, throw us a bone, bump the filesize limit to ½ a meg

Many a newbee tries to get a message over, yet isn't aware that one cannot answer to the activation thread. A little info about that should be added what you think? Then we'll see what they like then. 8)

Im new to this board, but i think been able to view older post's would be a good reference. Having your national flag incorporated would pretty cool too. I completely understand the whole procedure about spammers etc. Anyone who signs up should be screened properly.

All looks fine to me EXCEPT I don't even know my own password and only ONE computer has it in a "cookie" somewhere on the drive! Entering my "Username" is all I have to do and tabbing to "password" gets it recognized but "••••••••" is something I can't read! The Dell laptop doesn't know it, the HP PC doesn't know it and the iPad has no idea. But my Mac Pro sure stored it! Onliest machine that gets me in here but if I'm anywhere else I'm screwed! Mikey?

And yes, "sabrinaIII wrote:

Considering this is a professional site that has been around for quite some time, it's odd that Zappa.com still doesn't have a favicon. It's easy to make and install one, and it looks great on a fave bar.

Explain more Bonnie, I don't know what favicon is.

See the address bar in your browser at the top where the url to the forum is? There's a little picture of a piece of paper at the beginning. A favicon is a tiny little picture that would replace the paper (perhaps a tiny image of Frank or something Zappa related.) It's odd that the person who brings it up has no favicon on her forum. :)

It does have a favicon Bonny, the Zappa Moustache. Mind you, I don't understand why it disappears occasionally ...
