I don't see the need for Dweezil to overemphasize Jesus Christ. I think his comment is a celebratory entity within itself and not representative of Christian doctrine.

Regardless if Dweezil or how many humans follow their own personal savior in Jesus Christ I think the guy on the cross has enough PR where he's not worried about Dweezil making commentary around the 6 week and growing celebration of his birthday several thousands years after the fact.

Dweezil may very well as I do praise the l.o.r.d (defined term : living on reproduceable data) that is FZs Canon and his life.

Regarding Gail's comment and Dweezil's terminology of - mas this just may be along the same lines and has nothing to do with Christmas. Additionally the Zappa's use lower case letters in l.o.r.d and Dweezil uses lower case letters in - mas.

What I can generally say is from my perception Dweezil & the Zappa family have found a way to honor Frank during the month of December. Not that they do not honor Frank 24x7x365 but during December Zappadon becomes a traditional annual celebration that is separate from Christian Doctrine.

For any individual that may read into Dweezil not representing the Jesus guy may I suggest they just go to their church of choice to celebrate that Christian doctrine. In general I don't think the Christian doctrine was anything more to Frank than the energy emulating from candles in a church he had visited. I have not noticed any indication that the savior Jesus Christ is important to emphasize outside of some conceptual continuity in Joe's XMASage. I could very well not be in tune to something but I think Dweezil's intent was to honor his father in that message not some savior who died a few thousand years ago.

Hey if the world can support and celebrate Ramadan, Christmas, Kwanza & Chanukkah I see no reason why Zappadan or - mas should not be a celebration for the Zappa family and a community who may follow their own path of l.o.r.d. (defined term: living on reproduceable data)

In the Futurama cartoon, they say X-mas (pronounced eks mas), not Christ-mas. Dweez is not the only one with a issue with the Christ part.

One of my family members sent us one of these fairly large 5"x5" car magnets that shows a manger scene and reads Keep Christ in Christmas. It was a fund raiser for their church. Request denied.

Hey be it far from me to tell them how to live their lives. If they feel the need to be on some Evangelical Mission so be it but me I prescribe to The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing philosophy. I don't mind helping out a fellow man in need if I can see him with my own eyes but basically my family is not going to give up their End Game shrinking income and life assets for any organized religious organization.

I think back 40 years ago when I was a kid in this same middle class neighborhood. Most families were single income families that owned homes and the kids went to private schools. Today it takes 4 similar incomes to buy these homes and the homes are 40 years older and the quality of life has diminished. How many cars a family owns and how many cell phones the kids have does not define quality of life. My cell phone is 1,000 minutes annual plan for emergency situations when I am out and about with my two year old daughter. Whose in your 5? Give me a break and get a fucking life. When I take my daughter to the parks and Zoos I frequently see couples out on dates at these places and they are both talking to someone else on their cell phones. How pathetic. hey want to go on a date we can walk together and sit on a bench and talk to someone else on our cell phones. We have so much in common. Whose in your 5?

It was very instructive what Trendmonger shelled mainly for me,an eastern european man.I'm not believer,but I hold the less and less true believer in reverence (any kind of GOD).In Europe religion is not the same thing than in US.(less commercial potential,no TV-missionarist etc.)Simply provoke me the permanent mockery of a thing which is relevant for millions and millions in the world.And always against same church.(Europeans will get it)

That would have been the time to bring it up. Now it is redundant to me. Play my music. That's the way Frank wanted to be remembered. Not with cutesy holidays.
