I served in another arena, homeboy.

I have friends in Iraq right now.

So fuck off.

What other arena, Grenada or Panama?

at least this explains how you came to be a bitter, paranoid gun nut, or as the military likes to call it, building character. It's a damn, shame, really. I know plenty of guys like you who were perfectly normal, happy men before being shipped off to risk their lives for corperate interests that have nothing to do with preserving nebulous notions of "freedom" and "democracy." I actually pity you, and yer buddies in Iraq.

I came out the same. Just more life experience.

Very few come out whacked. Most get a taste of the real world, and what its like to fight for something. What it means to be an American, and not a lackey who lets other people do the dirty work for them.

Now, go back to your Latte and episodic TV.

which is why you can't feel safe unless you are armed at all times? Sounds a little whacked to me.

And I don't drink coffe and I don't have TV, so you fuck off!

I grew up around firearms, learning how to use them at an early age. Hunting and fishing with my father was a great experience, and it taught me that firearms are tools, and not to be afraid of them like chickenshits such as yourself..

You say whacked. I say smart.

Now go back to your Energy Drink that tastes like somebody puked up their vitamins.

Fag.

I know plenty of people who use firearms responsibly, but they never felt the need to carry one at all times. Everyone I've met who has a concealed weapon's permit is either was cop or a soldier or a spouse of a cop or a soldier. I'm sure being exposed constantly to violence and the worst of human nature makes one feel vulnerable. I don't carry a gun not because I'm afraid to carry one, but because I feel I don't need to. Your constant need to be armed is not smart, it's paranoid.

Can't stand energy drinks either, or caffine at all for that matter. But keep trying I'm sure you'll be able to insult my beverage of choice.

and Fag? I haven't heard that one since high school. You can do better than that, can't you

I live in Tucson, Arizona, number 18 on the list of most dangerous cities in America. Seattle isn't even in the top 25. sounds like I'm the one who should be packin'.

Vaccine-linked polio hits Nigeria

Nigeria is fighting a rare outbreak of a vaccine-derived form of polio, says the UN's World Health Organization.
It says 69 children in the north have caught the paralysing disease from others who had already been immunised.
The WHO says such rare outbreaks have occurred where immunisation campaigns did not reach enough of the population.
In 2003 Islamic leaders brought a temporary halt to the vaccine campaign in the north saying it was a Western conspiracy to sterilise Muslim women.
The WHO says this rare outbreak of vaccine-derived polio demonstrates the need for more vaccination, not less.
But the concern is that the cause of the outbreak could be misinterpreted by people here and reinforce their scepticism of the whole vaccine campaign.
Scare stories
The WHO says the outbreak occurred when some of those who had received the oral polio vaccine excreted a mutated form of the virus which infected those who were not immunised who had not completed the vaccination programme.
It says the outbreak is ongoing but slowing because of the continuing vaccination campaign, and the last reported case was in August.
The WHO says the outbreak occurred because not enough people were receiving the polio vaccine in the first place.
Northern Nigeria still has a low coverage rate for the vaccination campaign, a legacy of a temporary halt to the programme in 2003.
Those scare stories built on existing traditional scepticism of Western medicine.
But more recently the vaccination programme has made some progress.
Polio cases as a whole are down on last year, in part because of a new programme of polio victims accompanying immunisation teams to demonstrate to parents the risks of not having their children vaccinated.

McGuinty orders up new holiday for Ontario
CTV.ca News Staff

Ontario Premier McGuinty got down to business after winning a second majority government by giving the province a new day off.

"Today I am pleased to announce that Ontario's first ever Family Day will be celebrated on the third Monday (beginning) this February," he said Thursday in Ottawa.

The statutory holiday will give Ontario residents more time to be their families, McGuinty said.

Ontario will now have nine holidays per year, putting it on par with Saskatchewan, B.C., Alberta and the Territories.
