aka probably not uncharted territory, just... NOT the usual day in, day out push pull around here.

in terms of threads/subject matter, what do we want to express? what do we have to convey?
no, really. aside from political ping ponging and re-covering the obvious, what can we bring to the table?

by the way, this thread was not meant to discredit phill and/or outshine his brilliant and self-propelled zappa show thread.

i have a few ideas i could share to get the ball rolling, but i'd much rather toss it into your court.
perhaps some of you have been struggling with self doubt in regards to thread creation and what it may entail.
it happens to the best of you. but now... NOW is your chance to face-fuck that fear.

the water is cold, sure... but take that plunge.
i am down here
w a i t i n g.

I don't like January in Nor Cal due to Tule Fog...its dense, depressing, and all encompassing, it stretches from Redding in the North to Grape Vine in the South about 450 miles long by about 80 miles wide... :P

I'm rather fond of fog, myself.

Let's discuss the karma of using FZ's name to help the media dumb down the already extremely dazed and confused "public".

Did any musical artist stand up against the dumbing down of the public more than FZ? A person would have to hate FZ to be willing to use his forum to help the media dumb people down. Wouldn't they?

Kinda reminds me of the story of the Dutch kid who put his thumb in the dyke to save the town from flooding. Donald would be a hero.

looks like we're trying to kick water uphill here, downer.

ah well, little invested, little lost.
i may just have to say fuck all and make a thread or two just for someth... nothing to do.
it couldn't be any more vanilla and/or discouraging than what generally strikes gold here, right?
either way, i am not going to stop anything. i am not going to teach old dogs tricks - period.
but good god, bless my soul for making an effort.

if nothing else, i could always delete my account.
