Locally pretty much every one is now open for business, provided they can provide
"social distancing" for their customers and staff.....

Barbers and Hairdressers were cutting hair on the stroke of midnight on the day that
Alert Level three became Alert Level Two.
Many bars pubs and clubs will be open from tomorrow with extra security to ensure distancing rules
are adhered to, the tango will be banned from the dance floors of the land with these
new no touching rules.....
The cafe's and coffee carts are back in full swing, and entering your favorite bank
wearing a mask is now acceptable behavior, although a crash helmet is still a no no

All schools are now open or though many of the children are being kept home by
their fearful parents, both of our local primary schools have had less than a third
of their kids showing up. One of the fully staffed high schools had one pupil
arrive for lessons, home schooling has become the new normal and may continue
to be so for the foreseeable future.....

Workwise we are flat out most days and long may it last,
over half the staff have chosen to remain on their respective sofas
collecting the government wage subsidy, which has just been extended
for a further eight weeks. Their nonattendance is endangering the companies
very existence, and their cards have been well and truly marked, I suspect that once
the subsidy's end and these lazy bastards return to work, if there is any work left
to return to, they will be the first ones to get the chop if and when the forecasted
recession hits home.....

The work place has never been cleaner what with all the hand
and surface sanitizing going down. I've reorganized how my tasks are
performed, effectively locking myself away and masked and gloved if I'm forced
to leave the inner sanctum which, thanks to almost anal pre planning, is rare.....

Cheers Cory

Everybody's adapting, most shop assistants are now behind a screen of some kind,
some switched on advertising companies have had screens manufactured with a number
of different logos around the screen's frame, Coca Cola and Red Bull to name a couple are now in your face at the counter of most convenience stores.....
I bet the tobacco companies are spewing that they can't take advantage of this groovy new advertising trend

We are now permitted to travel within 100km of our homes as the crow flies. Being in Lyon is nice as this allowed us to pack up and go climb a mountain in the Chartreuse mountains with a nice view of Mont Blanc.

We have moved into "Phase 1" of reopening here in the capital city of Oregon.

Phase 1
First reopening stage, allowed in specific counties that qualify. Includes limited reopening of restaurants and bars, personal services, gyms, and malls. Gatherings of up to 25 people allowed for recreational, social, cultural, civic or faith events – with physical distancing requirements.

Good to see things getting back to the way they were.

Well, Phydeaux 3008 has not arrived yet. I guess the factory has a backlog of orders. I'll post a pic as soon as it's baptised.
