So Dream Theater popped up on a few lists...

I mostly agree, because the shitty overall theme of the later 3/4's of their albums...super talents (and a lot of keyboardist Jordan Rudess' solo stuff is super, this whole album is really good), but there are I really like a LOT a few of their earlier albums before they started churning out the sad stuff... I like Awake (5 sec ad, brace yourself), especially the first long track, Images and Words (hammy, but there are more than a few unbelievably tight, extended passages, and Train of Thought, (they lost me after Train of Thought, and never got me back.

That being said...even if you HATE Dream Theater, still download this little gem from one of their bootlegs...

Dream Theater - Dark Side of the Moon, LIVE

It's a .zip file of the whole album (safe, I created it), and it will open up into a folder with all the songs in order.

It's amazing to me the detail they went to create this, all the minutest details, and there's a lot goin' on on this album :) ...and then they preformed it only twice (Germany and Great Britain), and that was it... geeze...

Enjoy!

Glad you enjoyed :)

Here's one of my favorite DT's, just tune in about 4:30 minutes in and enjoy...tight, huh(: lol

What the hell was that joke, I can't remember that joke, but the punch line was "Now clap....tight, huh?"

The whole speed metal genre. Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer. Some good riffs here and there but not really my thing.

I agree with all that. All the singers in those bands sound like whiny little junior high kids even though they’re all probably over forty by now.
