It doesn't sound any better. Maybe it sounds worse because I'm comfortable with the 440 version. I mean, 30 cents is nothing. Few would notice if you played it like that without telling them. That was my earlier, misunderstood point.

Has it even been verified by the uber geeks if FZ ever recorded anything at 432? Is someone, yourself perhaps, certain of every FZ tuning on every FZ album? That would be interesting.

And who cares how the classical composers from Europe tuned? What about the ones who made music before any science had been applied to it? In what tuning is a stick hitting a rock? There's purity for you. This 30 cents of pitch is no closer to "natural" (as some claim) than any other tone.

Just because no one agreed with your supposed point doesn't make you misunderstood. Do you have anything new to add or are you just gonna keep repeating yourself?

^ Not really fair but I can take it.

I repeated myself because I thought I was misunderstood. As I explained.

Are you still mad because I defended FZ's right to his own bad habits?

I thought Mr GG was into science.I asked a question about Zappa's tuning. Has it been asked before? Has it been answered?

^So the question has not been answered.

But we do get this: "432 is closer to the natural keynote in the universe".

haha. A tough thing to prove.

I think of it as a placebo for music addict casualties.

I fail to see where I'm being unfair. I never even said you were wrong. You may very well be right. You say you want to push the discussion further, but you tend to a present an aggressive, belittling tone that is not open or engaging. You must admit your posts in this thread have gotten redundant.

As far as what I said about FZ's lifestyle, I was simply commenting on the things that surprised me about the MZ interview. At no point was I "mad" nor am I carrying any kind of resentment that would permeate through the threads of this forum.
Can we agree to disagree on some things and share a mutual respect? You're clearly no dummy, and believe it or not I've enjoyed your posts over the years.

Don't know about Zappa, though. Given his methodic nature, I guess it is all tuned to the 440 Hz A reference...

These are actually remakes with FZ being channeled through medium Frankenzappa, using Verdi's tuning fork vibrating at 432 Hz as a reference...

Funny you should say that because Donald likes to listen to 4'33" at 440Hz :smoke:

Can you recommend a specific frequency?
