They're just getting to paper now? Heck, they started using it to make Elephant dung beer 5 years ago!

Over the Easter weekend, a truck transporting 5 elephants veered off the road on a motorway in the south of Spain. Sadly one of the elephants was killed, two others were injured.

The UK is about to introduce some of the tightest laws on ivory trade, banning all ivory items except for:
-musical instruments made before 1975 with an ivory content of less than 20%;
-artifacts made before 1947 with less than 10% ivory;
-antiques that are over 100 years old;
-portrait miniatures on thin slices of ivory that are at least 100 years old

An exemption will be made for museums.

Around 13 Rohingya refugees have been killed by elephants in Kutupalong camp. The camp was built on an elephant route and elephants don't usually stray from them.

To protect the pachyderms from poachers, Tanzania will give GPS collars to all its elephants. The population in Mikumi National Park decreased by 90% over the past 40 years.

After one elephant passed away of tuberculosis in the Kruger Park, around 60 to 70 pachyderms will be tested on the disease. There's a fear of an outbreak.

Elephants are majestic. I don't see how any human being could look at an elephant and feel superior.
