On The First Day Of Zappadan My True Love Gave To Me
A Donald Duck Mug
A Pep Magazine

And A Complete Archive Of Newspapers Up To 1999.

Last week, some of the biggest quality newspapers of The Netherlands opened up their archives, now for full public access at delpher.nl. I've set the task to search for Zappa and translate all I could find that was of interest. Thing is it's so much I'm only at 1982 now with translating!

So here's the topic where I'll be posting all the goodies. The thread won't be open to discussion until after I'm done, which will take a while.

In it you can find the following Zappa interviews:
Volkskrant October 1968
De Tijd June 1970
Parool June 1970
Het Vrije Volk February 1971
De Telegraaf Oct 1971
De Telegraaf Nov 1971
De Tijd Dec 1971
Het Vrije Volk Sep 1973
Volkskrant March 1976
Het Vrije Volk March 1976
Unknown Feb 1979
Het Vrije Volk Feb 1979
Parool Jan 1980

There are also some fun pictures!

By chance I found a Pep magazine in the second-hand choppe that contained an article and a cartoon about FZ. Slime knows these.

There are still more articles coming up!

So far, I'm up to disc 2 of MAJNH (and nearly done The Real Frank Zappa Book too, which has always been a Zappadan tradition for me). I probably won't make it past YCDTOSA Vol. 4 by the time Zappadan ends tonight. But because this has been so much fun, I just might keep going through the rest of the entire catalogue chronologically for the hell of it...
