When a man lies he murders some part of the world

These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives

All this I cannot bear to witness any longer

Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home

Today is the 20th anniversary of the departure of this great talented bass player who helped to creat the best years of what used to be a great iconic rock band.

Thanks Cliff Burton, for it was because of people such as yourself that I got to like music so much. Live on, forever!

RIP Cliff.

Its terrible when they go out the way he did... i.e. not suicide or drug overdose... Ah well.

Ah, come on. While they've gone to seed since Load, ...And Justice For All was a fine album. Probably my favourite actually. There's no way Hetfield and Ulrich pieced such a monsterous album like that one together by accident.

Fancy a debate on And Justice For All? It's hardly my favourite.

RIP Cliff

That bass solo in Orion is just gorgeous... Some talent has left way too soon...

I think that justice for all is mostly self-indulgent cack, but it has good moments.

Metallica remind me of a real life spinal tap, a lot of the time Image(black album???)

i remember hearing at the time all the detail and fine tuning that went into making "and justice" that lars used 100 mics on his drum kit , how fucking big was the drum kit ? so when i bought it when it came out i expected something special, and it sounded like an expensive demo. puppets is their crowning glory and they have yet to top that .

RIP Cliff!!!

Btw Justice rules, the one bad thing on that album is the production.

I'd be inclined to agree, except that I rather like the production on AJFA. Lacking in bass, yes, but I like the way it sounds all the same.
