I have been reading all day about some of these seething lunatics who are right wing christians just itching to pull the trigger on some unsuspecting democrat or what have you. I was talking to a friend who says that sarah palin (lowercase intended) is talking about "targeting" certain people in such a manor as to incite civil war.

I wouldn't doubt it one bit with all these lunatic jesus freaks running around screaming comunist this and socialist that.

Sarah Palin's Facebook 'Friends' Celebrate Ted Kennedy's Death: "One Less Socialist," "Good Riddens"
This post originally appeared in PEEK.

Late last night, to her credit, Sarah Palin posted the following statement on her Facebook page on the passing of Ted Kennedy:

I would like to extend our sympathies to the Kennedy family as we hear word about the passing of Senator Ted Kennedy. He believed in our country and fought passionately for his convictions.
Several of her Facebook pals lauded her "classy" move.

Others? Not so much.

"thank you for maintaining my belief in you as a real american, however this country is now much better off, one less socialist, anti freedom senator."

"Now if we could just talk God into taking Arlin Spector, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi America would be Eutopia!"

"good riddens"

"If he makes it into Heaven (& I doubt he will with his stance on abortion) I hope that God makes him babysit all the aborted children for eternity. God have mercy on his soul."

"Ted Kennedy dying has made my day...."

"He cannot fillibuster God. Good ridencance to a sorry person."

"It's about time, we can only hope Pelosi and Ried will be joining him very soon. All 3 of them should be buried in Moscow for whom they work so tirelessly."

... and perhaps my favorite:

"Sarah - I need to contact you. I need to know how to fight this current govt. We must find a way to get them removed, standing by and watching all the evil occur, is like watching water run quickly down the drain, each of our freedoms gone daily. Please advise me what direction to take my group. Thank you"

For all 1,676 comments (and counting), go here.

Stay classy, Palin fans!

I believe that the elite powers are anticipating a revolt in America, and they want to get ahead of it and control the leadership of the revolt. They would prefer a religious-right revolt over a socialist-left revolt, so they get FoxNews et al to promote and encourage the "tea-baggers".

Yet there is actually good things going on in the world like Iceland developing a Hydrogen based economy. It's so hard to believe that in the 21st century there are still so many religious nut cases around!

I can't wait for the day when we can keep a human alive for 200 years. Think of the exploitation potential.

I see your point. I guess it's jimmie's fault that your insurance rates went up too, eh?

Here's my current Obamacare update. We are a family of three.

Year one - my insurance went down $600/month from my previous policy.
Year two - Up $800/month.
Year three - Up $600/month.

Net so far: Up $800/month, over three years.

All things considered, it's still a good deal. Both me and my wife have pre-existing conditions that weren't covered prior to Obamacare. We have an adult son who is now covered, which couldn't happen in pre-Obamacare days. Preventative tests are now free. And these increases are basically the same as what our old insurance company tossed at us every December.

Fuck the insurance companies. Yay for universal care (as if we'll ever get it).

Yes , fuck the insurance companies.
THEY are the reason that our government , for decades , has tried to come up with an equitable system for everybody.
The problem is this.
The insurance companies are part of the government and there are too many in the swamp connected to them. It's the same with big pha rma and agri business.
The government mandates what you eat , knowing that most of it is poison , and then gives you a pill to treat what they made you ingest.

I'm all for good health care if everybody that is healthy enough contributes but the ease of getting gov't disability has resulted in an increase in cases that may , or may not , be legitimate.

"According to data from the Social Security Administration, more than 10.9 million individuals are currently receiving SSDI payments, compared to 7.3 million at the end of 1996. In other words, during a period when US population grew by 19.6 percent, the number of SSDI recipients increased by 49 percent. Combined with SSI recipients, the number of people receiving some form of disability compensation each month from the federal government increases to 14 million, which amounts to an annual expenditure of $260 billion."
http://www.cagw.org/media/wastewatcher/ ... ew-welfare

"Since 2003, there's been a 29% jump in Americans with little or no work experience getting disability payments, according to the Social Security Administration. Over the same time, there's been a 44% increase in disability claims by people formerly in the workplace."
http://money.cnn.com/2013/04/11/news/ec ... -payments/

Couple that with complicit medical personal , that live and breathe kickbacks from big pha rma , and a lack of affordable insurance , and it's a recipe for utopia for the ones with their fingers in the pie , and a disaster for us regular folks.
It should be a crime when your doctor orders chemo for you knowing that he buys the drug from big pha rma , and then sells it to you for a 400% markup. Especially when that doctor knows that chemo only works on maybe 5% of all cancers.

So how do you fix it ?
Sever the governmental ties and create jobs.

How do you maintain a stable workforce ?
Better education.

Both of those are crucial and both need major attention.
Create the jobs that will make people want to work. Jobs that maintain a healthy lifestyle that allows someone to afford insurance. Create an environment that rewards productivity and gets back to stable family units.
Keep the kids in school but don't just pass them to the next grade for the sake of more federal dollars. Make the kids earn that passing grade and you'll create somebody with a sense of work ethic.

This country needs a lot of work and for too many years we have relied on career politicians to tell us how dumb we are and how smart they are.

That hasn't worked so well.
