That's right, you heard right. A Snownado.

I'll wait for the movie.

We'd been frying along quite nicely without any measurable rain for around 48 days straight, with a few areas on the brink of screaming drought, when we received a biblical downpour on December 24th, resulting in some minor flooding which the parched land and empty reservoirs sucked up. Looks like the heat is about to return.....Excellent!

Now: 14°C (57.2°F)

Max: 16°C (60.8°F)

Min: 10°C (50.0°F)

Wind: 46 km/hr. (28.583074842917177ish mph)

Rain Today: 0.0

Humidity: 72%

Updated: December 27th 14:03 (1:03pm)

Today's Forecast

Cloudy periods and a few showers. Strong cool southerlies.

Back to a garment removing 21°C (69.8°F) by Saturday

^^^^^ Oh baby ^^^^^

Weird Weather

Scorcher of a day here today, easily got up to around: 30°C (86°F)

Here we are at 6:48pm and it's still a cozy 27°C (80.6°F)

It's a beautiful sunny summer evening, however there is a massive thunder storm doing a decent Bozzio impression along the hill range around twenty miles from my location, which is thankfully going to pass us by, however there are storm warnings forecast for the west coast with flooding predicted tonight and tomorrow. I don't think it'll effect us in Wellington 8)

Now: 27°C (80.6°F)

Max: 24°C (75.2°F)

Min: 17°C (62.6°F)

Latest reading

Wind: 15 km/hr. (9.3mph)

Rain Today: 0.0

Humidity: 52%

Updated: January the 3rd, 18:31

Well this sucker looks pretty righteous,

Image

Just coming offshore over it's energy and already large and well organized, (the "circular motion," or for the hardcore, "Circular Circulations," (GTO's)).

Mr. Ghost, this is a classic "Northeasterner" pattern, storms get over the warm water and they rapidly intensify, they turn and skirt up the coast, it's about to turn north for my house.

Kinda like bowling with a hook...

Today was the closest we got to freezing in a week with a high of 28F/-2C.

Tonight we are at 13F/-11C.

By Sunday we might get precipitation and the high today will be the trending low norm.

Who ran the model agency like a foreman.
He espied the bosses wife,
& sniffing too hard into her strife,
He ended up at the cinema as a doorman."

4 winter storms in the last month.
Ana -winds up to 180 km in France-250km in Austria
Bruno -winds up to 150 km
(Dave's not here man...)
Carmen -winds up to 130 km
Eleanor -winds up to 250 km -1 death

Bordeaux is in a flood warning today because of the storm surge and the tidal coeficient of 106.
the bright side is that the temp is in the high teens.

I'm not complaining, the weather you guys are experiencing makes ours seem like a walk in the park.

Our hot spell has taken a break.....We got slammed this morning, while I was walking in the park, the rain was like hot water for the first ten minutes

Some light rain today. Warm temps. in the mid 50s. Nearly all the snow has melted. I worked outside today in a t-shirt since my coat was making me a little too warm. It won't last though. We of the mid-west are due for some heavy snow. I'll take cold over the California mudslides, wildfires, floods, droughts any day of the week.
