We had a mini heat wave last week. That, and feedings, should help my pepper garden produce again.

Lol, here's what's left of the garden, still some celery and curly parsley, but we're all pepper'd out up here now, the cold has won.

I don't have any fall broccoli this year cuz it got attacked by bugs last fall...so I'm giving it a year off. They'll be about 20 plants next year at this time, they can take some frosts and keep going...

The story of this picture is interesting...HIGHLY dependent on the weather,
it happens only one sunrise per year...

I'd occasionally see it on my pre-work bike ride on the first phreak cold morning(30f/0c),
go back the next morning with my camera, and it would be gone.

This went on a few years till last year I figured it out....

..the water is very shallow and loses it's heat in one cold day,
even if the next day was cold enough, the water has cooled off too much to do it again.

So the other night I saw the first temp drop, so I got up early,
went out with my camera, and there it was :)

Well, it's officially tipped the other way then, you're better than us now and getting better every day, while we're worse and degenerating every day.

Have a nice summer!

It's still a little unpredictable, if we can get a couple of fine days in a row I'll be happy.
Still haven't packed the thermals and wet weather gear away, and the way it's been going I might keep the gear out for the duration.....

Great pictures as usual baddy 8)

Yes, about 10m/16k from here. The closest one was small, EF0. There have been some other small ones around lately. I'm also not convinced that that whatever the fuck it was that snapped 7 trees in my yard was a microburst. Big trees snapped way up high, not blown over. I'm no expert though, I just know it had my attention, lol, Ive never seen anything like it, (I posted before about it).

So we're doin the oranges now... This is how the trees across the pond have changed in about a week or so, (see other recent posts). Then we'll do brown, then shitty (unless after fresh snow) till April, come she will...

...some people rake them, some people blow them...

...I just mow them down over and over and make lawn food outta them...

This is the pain in the ass part of fall, (for those of you in SoCal, lol :) ).

SoCal's experiencing a strong offshore flow starting a few hour ago. Dry. Time to close up the eastern exposure of the house.
The surf is flat, of course.
Temp. Mid eighties, 46 low.

Freaking smoke from the fires has blanketed the valley to the point that all schools are closed, it looks like we are in a heavy fog the air is currently ruled unhealthy but just 20 miles north of us it is hazardous and I frankly wouldn't be surprised if it could trigger evacuations...even my cat & dog are acting odd... :(

First snow last night, ~ 4 inches/10cm, mis-judged it a little and got caught out there on the wrong bike, a bit of a challenge getting home.

BTW lol, this was mowing the leaves with gps on, (above)...
