Hype or not, fabricated or not, people are stating to die here. And don't give me that 'same lethality rate as common flu' bullshit, because 99% of people who die of a common flu are elders or newborns and this new flu kills healthy people as well...

I heard Australia has the most deaths. And yes, I've read about perfectly healthy 40 yr.olds dieing. I thought I heard there was a pregnant 20+ yr. old woman who is sick and now has a collapsed lung from this flu.

I guess if you call 5 dead the most I guess so...................

One thing is certain, those who said this would only be like the 2003 SARS, the 2009 Swine flu or other global epidemics were dead wrong...
The socioeconomic impact is all over...

I'm not. Bring it. I don't care if it kills me. Time to stop behaving like a bunch of little children. This world needs a real crisis.

I, for one, think we need urgent and radical action to unseat the hold of monkey mind...

I can recommend the youtube-channel of Dr. Zubin Damania to everybody.
I found out about him by this funny song.
Very informative and nearly daily updates.

Dr. Z. once again talks a serious issue in his new video. He asks everybody to authorize a person of trust to speak for you in case you cannot do anymore by yourself:
Do You WANT To Be On A Ventilator? | Discuss Your Wishes NOW

It seems a ventilator is the only hope to try and save a serious COVID-19 condition... If it gets way out of hand, there simply won't be enough of it available (some people remain with it up to three weeks before being cured).
Why the heck isn't humanity coordinating massive international efforts to manufacture those?

Fortunately Corona doesn't yet appear to be anything like the Spanish flu, at least from my neck of the woods. I'm not worried as much about the virus itself as I worry about people panicking. And my father who is actually in the risk group.

I have not been to Europe or Finland for 9 years. Spending is a little tight in retirement, mostly due to my wife's Obamacare. I am on Medicare.

Now that we had a trip to a wedding for July, the flight is most likely canceled. Or moved to August and we miss the actual wedding. It was to be in Austria.

That said, if this illness gets to a broad pandemic in US, and I have to suffer thru it, I would rather do it at home. In preference to some hospital somewhere or a hotel room.
