There's no audible glitch, but what happens on your time display when the track reaches 2:30? I'm also playing it on iTunes.
I meant no weirdness with times. Mine just gets to 2:30 and goes straight to 0:00 on the next track. Which OS are you using?
I have an old Mac, so I'm stuck on El Capitan (10.11.6). But I just don't get how the time counter can go backwards for a second while the music continues normally.

I'm on High Sierra. I've been having an issue with Logic Pro X that has prevented me going any further. What you're seeing may well be a bug that got fixed in later versions.

I've listened to the 10/31/81 8 PM so far, and it's great.

But I've noticed a MAJOR error. 10/31/81 12:00 AM is in reality 11/01/81!!!!! So all recordings must be recalled to reflect that there's only one show for 10/31/81 and 2 for 11/01/81.

Or I can let this slip. THIS TIME. Next time I'll let it slip too. No biggie.

I found the Highlights disc in a record store in San Luis Obispo when RG and I were Vacationing on the Central Coast, we listened to it driving home Tuesday, very good... 8)

Yeah, had the box for a week now. Fantastic :) . You people bitching about the box/packaging are ridiculous. If you don't want any of that, then download the freaking thing. I hold the same opinion on the '73 set. I think the boxes look great now as a pair together on a shelf.

The whole thing comes down to about $17 a disc which is not bad. I don't care that Strictly Genteel was omitted off of the last show. Can live without it. Keep these great releases coming Ahmet/Joe. Hope to see a surprise release before the end of the year.

I ditched Amazon Music (I had a three months free trial). I tried to sign for a free month on Spotify, but could not go through. Then I remembered Deezer, which a friend has pointed me to. I got three free months with Deezer and its all there, the new Zappa releases, including H1981, box and highlights, the new KC releases, so I am set until the end of the year...

Interesting, I may have to look into this myself. I'm a sucker for free trials on these kinda things.

Who else do you go to when you want to make sure you're going to get a fawning, over the top remembrance?

I just think of it as like that track where FZ gets that poet on the stage, one of the over the top fans in the front row, who goes on about a garden where trees won't grow and then Ike Willis says "Kindergarden?" The worst part I find about Trendmonger on this forum is how judgemental he can be and that's completely absent. Thankfully, it's probably the most coherent thing I've ever read by him.

I don’t have it yet, but a friend told me about this. I’m happy for him, honestly. He’s been kind of a pill on the forum but I do wish him well. And the excerpt my friend showed me wasn’t really annoying at all. A good editor can work wonders :smoke:

good old Trendy got it done in less than 60,000 characters

Anyone needing the missing Strictly Genteel track from the hilights disc for their boxset, it's available as a single track purchase from 7Digitial in FLAC. I haven't had a chance to see if baning it into it's place on the boxset wrecks the flow or not, but at least I got it all now.

You need the Black Page #2 track as well. It includes the tuning & intro to Strictly Genteel and it's 36 seconds longer than the one on the 6-disc set.

Otherwise the edit is too abrupt.

You say too abrupt, but the edit from Black Page #2 into Whipping Post is pretty abrupt. I've had a look at the transition in my audio editor and they've done a pretty good job of joining them, but it's still obviously an edit with Whipping Post leaping in to start the encore without announcement. The other issue is that the end of the Strictly Genteel track has just over 5 ms of silence added in and where the audio cuts off it clearly doesn't match where Whipping Post starts. Which does makes sense, because they would have had to choose a point at the start of Whipping post to match a suitable end of Black Page #2.

This just leads me to say it one more time. The decision to cut Strictly Genteel out and promote it as a unique bonus track on the sampler quite simply totally sucks. So much for their promotion of three complete shows. The third one is clearly not complete.

If you drop The Black Page #2 and Strictly Genteel from the single disc compilation into the 2-disc set, the edits are seamless.

As you say, the edit from Black Page #2 into Whipping Post is abrupt. That's because there's a song missing in between, not sure what you're talking about. The end of Strictly Genteel contains the intro to Whipping post.

There is no silence at the end of Strictly Genteel on the one I got. Sounds like a 'your system' problem not a ZFT problem. The version of Whipping post is exactly the same on the compilation and on the 2-CD set. Strictly Genteel runs seamlessly into this track.
