Received my copy of the 2012 remaster which I'm enjoying. Of course I did a side by side comparison with the individual duration of each song. The '95 Ryko version lists "The Little House I Used To Live In" with a time of 18:41.

The 2012 version of the same tune-21:52

I played both versions side-by-side to find out just where what I assumed the extra material came in to account for the added 3+ minutes of variation(there is no extra material). Song are of the same duration but time has been changed and yet it's not a printing error. How can that be? Sure, there can be a couple of seconds difference here and there on tracks, but what's the deal, Mama?

My european made 2012 CD also has 21:52 on the cover (inlay + booklet). It is a printing error. Running time is 18:46.

You're correct.
When I woke up this morning, that was one of my first thoughts. Suppose I thought all of that would've been double and triple checked prior to printing.

21:52 is approximately the total running time of Little House plus Valerie. (ie. side 2 of the vinyl)

You can't have a CD track longer than 20 minutes.

It will be interesting to see if the new re-release of B.W.S. has the same duration or if it's a touch longer in length. (For we all know on a Vinyl, you CAN have longer than 20mins per track. :) .)

It can also be done on BLU-RAY audio discs. :)

Just another great reason to stop with the CD's and start releasing BLU-RAY audio discs!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!

I'm going to be there for B.W.S. on vinyl though. To feature the original poster as well. DOUBLE JOY!!! Great sounding audio and a new poster for the wall.

Obviously you haven't met an album by Mike Oldfield called Amarok, yet ;)
