(amazon.ca is now listing it as "unavailable".)

Well, Amazon.ca now has it listed, again.
And at $18.00 CDN more than they were charging when it got de-listed.
Shop early!

(Zappa.com still is download/stream only. no pre-order for the CDs)

That's weird - I ordered it for $62 iirc.

Double weird - I paid 49 + tax = 52ish on Dec 28

If someone paid $18 less than than that... $31... good deal for 7 cds.

Just reading the 'News' section blurb on this incredible looking box set and strongly noted was the fact that (as per practically every other Joe Travers backup of the precious master tapes,) there sampled in the amazing 24bit 96KHz hi-res recording to digital.

Does anyone know if the digital download purchased files are provided in this actual sample rate? (Some of you have purchased the pre-order and received the legendary RDNZL if I'm not mistaken and must know.)

Please let me know.

Anything from the Zappa catalogue with Ruth Underwood or George Duke on it is an absolute must but hey ALL Zappa is a must.

As Amazon is only listing 'MP3' I'm guessing where looking at 320KBps MP3's only but I'm hoping perhaps there's an option for WAV files and perhaps those are in hi-def quality????

This was my assumption, hence I ordered the CDs. This release doesn't seem to have the same level of information as Halloween '77. It would be nice to get answers to these questions about options in audio quality. The Halloween WAV files sound amazing!

Weird, because Amazon USA, the Artist Shop, the front page of this sight and an advertisement I just saw on Facebook still show this as being released on February 2nd. I haven't placed an order yet, so haven't seen the delay email. Perhaps the download format is still on schedule.

The Halloween '77 mask box is still in heavy rotation here.

Incidentally, the Facebook advertisement I just saw for the Roxy box shows a reveal picture of the packaging. Looks like carboard sleeves instead of jewel cases, so there's some potential for the arrival of scratched discs.

Earlier today, Amazon.ca changed their release date to March 23. 2018 (it was Feb. 2, originally)

I just downloaded from Amazon Germany.
There's also no Disc 1, but all the music is there, they just messed up with the order.

Downloaded the flacs & booklet from 7digital.

Nice to have the complete shows with no breaks as a result of CD changes.

Sound quality is superb. This won't matter to mp3 mavens but the mix is truly impressive!

Well now that sets are actually shipping I'm convinced this is actually Zappening and I've placed an order to support this terrific release.

" " " "However I'd purchase it again if there was a USB 24bit 48KHz or higher release to be had. " " " "

I'm mostly looking forward to all the back stage banter and hidden treasures this set will allow us to hear. Also the 'unreleased' tracks that are not on 'Roxy and Elsewhere'(which will be retained in my collection because it was Frank's release and because of the 'elsewhere' component and 'Roxy by Proxy' (which I'll be retaining for the liner notes by Ruth Underwood.)

Wow who would have thought that one day we could finally listen to ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING from these magnificent concerts.
