Nice to have the complete shows with no breaks as a result of CD changes.

Sound quality is superb. This won't matter to mp3 mavens but the mix is truly impressive!

This has me somewhat excited and interested. You mention FLACS. Are they simply FLACS of the actual CD's or the studio recorded audio sampled to FLAC?????

Received mine yesterday. Haven't had time to open it yet, but have been streaming it since yesterday. A glorious release!

It is the same release in lossless Flac files. However, as they are not on CD's you are able to listen to the shows in their entirety without a fadeout for a disc change. I have no idea what 'studio recorded audio sampled to FLAC' is supposed to mean.

7Digital's website lists the FLAC files as 16 bit/44.1kHz, the same as a CD would be. So FLAC files they be, but not high definition audio files.

Recieved mine on Friday. Listening to the 12-8-73 show for starters now. Cool to hear these songs in their unedited form.

Still a months wait according to Amazon.ca. I have it pre-ordered at the $63cdn price so I'll wait.

Looks like no hi-res download options either, which is a shame since Halloween '77 sounds so good.

Crazy thing is, as soon as I get the CD's I'll rip them into 44/16bit flac and split the shows up properly play on my DAC. That's the problem with CD's on show runs like this, the music doesn't split up properly. I'm guessing there will be fades at the end of the discs when as a download there would be no need. The Who Live At Leeds as the superdeluxe hires download, with zero breaks between songs is so superior anything that came before that it's a shame that ZFT isn't moving forward.

Then again, maybe that will be the next big push on the catalogue so we all buy it again... :P

So far, one time through this set, I haven't noticed any fade outs of musical content. They do fade the in-between song segments with enough overlap to edit them into a continuous program.

When I uploaded the discs onto the hard drive, I sequenced the shows, session and soundchecks chronolgically.

This set sounds awesome. Great job Joe, Ahmet, Craig Parker Adams for the fine mix and Mikey for the package design. Thanks!

Roxy and Halloween are both great and hope they continue releasing these "runs" of shows. Bring on the "Elsewhere" box!

Been listening obsessively since Friday. Outstanding sound. I keep hitting repeat on many of the tracks, or playing the same songs from different shows. My family hasn't seemed to notice yet, or if they have, they haven't said anything.

So, Roxy and Elsewhere, Roxy By Proxy, The Roxy Soundtrack, and The Roxy Box. Unless there's more movie to be released later down the road, that should be it, right? :)

It's mentioned in the liner notes that the release of more video is under consideration. My take is that they probably will squeeze another release or two out of the Roxy run.

I wouldn't mind that. I found it baffling when the Roxy movie finally appeared that it didn't include the very scene that had started me coveting it all those years ago: the "Dummy Up" sequence with Jeff Simmons, as seen on the True Story of 200 Motels VHS.

STILL waiting for a shipping notice.

After being informed that mine would arrive on Feb 20, it arrived today. The box has a crease in it and I'm considering a complaint. Mind you, being cardboard, it withstood it well; if it was that old CD case plastic, it would have been shattered.
