Amazon shows nothing about the usb stick. I assume the usb will include all that is on the 3 cds, plus additional material, correct? If so, I'll wait for the usb.

BE CAREFULL what you preorder. That looks to be just the mp3s. Good news is the entire set will be available to those who don't want the USB.

Yeah, I just thought Amazon had got description wrong, as they often do. But potentially very good news for those who were gonna convert WAV to mp3 for the car!

Thankfully it seems that the 24bits files of the 6 shows will be available for sale online, without having to buy the box.

Well there it is. Cool! Not a bad deal at all for 6 full concerts! I guess I'll have to jump into the HD fray now as I'm still a sucker for physical media.

The USB stick and the little box it comes in are ultra-cool. The mask and costume turn it into a big waste of valuable shelf space. And I'm too much of a dork to buy the set and throw the useless doo-dads away.

Looks like a bootleg cover. At least there are no mask and costume included.
What are they thinking? That the average hardcore Zappa fan is 14 years old? Think again.

Where do you get the idea that the lossless files will be available for download? So far, it looks like only mp3s will be available that way.

Ok, it is intriguing, but all six shows, which are mostly the same set list total over 15 hours. Will I ever have the time to listen to six 2.5 hour shows, even once? I will get the 3-CD set and I have the Amazon thing bookmarked. I would like to hear the different Wild Love and Torture versions, but I just don’t know whether I can commit to a package that I may never completely listen to.

I wouldn't settle for an MP3. This is Zappa. This is distorted guitars and crybaby overtones. Why round off the edges any more than you have to? I want as much of the audio information as I can get.

Apsofuckinlutely! 24bit WAV is good in my book....if the master tape is really good. Otherwise you may hear more than you want to.

I'll be ordering the 3-CD set. The entire box is available for pre-order on iTunes, so I'll have unlimited streaming with my Apple Music subscription.

Question: I wasn't going to buy the costume box because a) I was unfamiliar with the format, and 2)I don't have a pc, laptop, or tablet at home (my only device is a smart phone). However, I just discovered that my late model a/v receiver has a USB port. So I assume I could play the thing no problem, I guess I would just control it with its remote and know where I'm at by looking at the little digital screen on the receiver. Thoughts?

That should work KU, have you checked your operations manual?

Your weak! Last night Amazon (NZ) still didn't have the costume box listed and I began to suffer a sever case of fomo.....so I joined HIFI 24/7 via the Zappa.Com link and after a ten second debate I pre ordered the costume box.....If the accountant finds out I've ordered both, I'm fucked!

She still hasn't gotten over the Zappa mustache logo door mat that "appeared" in August

The mask could push her over the edge!

Yeah, it will likely work. Maybe that is the only apparent advantage of marketing WAVs instead of FLACs...
