I think that my question has already been answered with the 180gm Hot Rats release but are plans still in place to continue with the remastered vinyl releases?
I wrote to Gail quite a few years back and she said YES! so I'm hoping that is still the case.
There are quite a few holes in my collection from the early Mothers of Invention years.
Thanks,
Steve Ford

P.S.
My condolences to the Zappa family, your mother struck me as someone you couldn't help but like.

Gail said it, and it remains true. Stay tuned to Zappa.com for upcoming releases.

Thanks for your kind words.

5 Frank Zappa Albums To Be Reissued On Vinyl

Nov 22, 2016•7:35 am PST

By Andy Kahn

The reissue of Zappa’s first solo LP, Lumpy Gravy was pressed from a 1968 analog safety tape found in the ZFT vault. Apparently Joe's Garage is getting the vinyl treatment in a 3 disc gatefold. Joe Travers said that this will be the definitive (best?) version with much better low end.

Great, keep 'em coming!

I'm about to give We're Only In It For The Money a spin.
This is a real treat, thank you.

can't wait to get Absolutely Free on vinyl, I am wondering what LP #2 will contain, I can't wait to hear it. I have this record on preorder, I love the Zappa vinyl reissues, I have them all so far, and plan to order all the future ones as well that I hope come out. I wish they'd release Bongo Fury next, that one has some serious guitar greatness on it, and then maybe Shut Up and Play Your Guitar in a 3 disc set, that one shows Zappa eating the guitar alive it's great.

It will be a one-sided disc with an etched portrait of Zappa on the blank side. It will contain "Big Leg Emma," "Why Don't You Do Me Right," two radio ads, something called "Glutton for Punishment" which I suspect will be an interview snippet or other spoken word item, and remixes of "America Drinks," "Brown Shoes Don't Make It," and "America Drinks and Goes Home."

Thanks for the information, I have heard a couple of those songs, but not all, I have not heard a lot of Frank Zappa's music, but I am trying to get all his albums that are available, on vinyl or CD, I prefer vinyl, but CD is okay, I like that lots of Zappa's live concerts were recorded and some are being released as well.

Got 'em all. Not one has been a disappointment, they all sound great.

I hope they get around to The Grand Wazoo and Waka Jawaka soon along with the Flo & Eddie era.

Awaiting Waka as well.
I think eventually they will do all of them.
What I'm really looking forward to is when they'll start making Lp versions of albums that hasn't appeared on Lp ever. Such as Civilization Phaze III, Trance-fusion, Dance me this, Playground psychotics, Make a jazz noise here (!), or finally an official a re-creation of the original 4-Lp boxset LÄTHER ! :)
(just like they did with Finer moments and Feeding the monkies).
