Yes, Chunga is another winner in that series of great vinyl reissues.

I suppose the next one could be Fillmore East 1971 ?
Suggestion: for a change, why don't they put out an Lp version of a posthumous release ?. They only did this on two occasions: Feeding the monkies and Finer moments (probably because those two were envisioned by FZ as vinyl releases in the first place.).

I suggest a double Lp of Trance-fusion. Wouldn't that be great ?

And after that they could start thinking about a box set of Civilization Phaze III on 4 Lps. ("N-lite" occupying one whole side). Wouldn't that be fantastic ?

There's also Lumpy Gravy Primordial.

Howdy Zappa listeners:
What Zappa record will be reissued next?

My fingers are crossed for another spectacular record store day release!

Also, I was given a Cal Shenkel original as a present. (I'm sure no one cares.) Just thought I would share since none of my 30 year old friends have any idea who he is. I never realized he grew up not far from me in PA! So cool!

Cheers!

Next Zappa reissue will be 'Lather' to be released on Record Store Day 2019, according to my sources.
Sorry if you were getting your hopes up for a reissue in time for Christmas.
Keep the Zappa spinning!

Ooh, that won't be a wallet-buster. Hope they do it in a cool colored vinyl like they've been doing.

nice to see the different label colour - even relates to the album cover colour. I don'tr care for the current ZAPPA Records colour especially the red side with that off yellow greenish ZAPPA logo, it looks pukey in a pukey kind of way

I'm looking forward to the Zappa in New York release. I have already pre-ordered the CDs and Vinyl.

I really want to purchase Waka Jawaka. My local record store has a used copy (probably from the 70s, I have no idea). I would prefer to purchase the reissue of this record. Only two records were reissued last year. At that pace, I may have to wait five years before Waka gets reissued.

Any idea what the next reissue will be? Any chance it will be Waka? Should I bite the bullet and buy the used copy or wait for the reissue?

Thank you for reading the post and offering any advice you may have.

It's a well known fact that a newer, better version will not be released until 2 days after you buy the old, used one.

I finally ordered my copy of Zappa In NY earlier this evening.
I'm looking forward to hearing it as I was in the audience many years ago.
All of the vinyl reissues have been just great, by the way, they're doing a tremendous job.

This did NOT disappoint!
Thank you so much, these albums are just stellar.

I wonder what Punky is doing right now?
Maybe he'd like to come over and yank my crank...
