Must not contain the F word or make fun of Walmart's gun department.

Remember that Best Buy will match the price.

Did an online search for finer moments at wal-mart and had no luck.

I fully agree, I wish it and McD's would be obliterated, just trying to clarify information. And How can I get BestBuy to price match if the info is not true?

The UA link above still works for me. Call 1-888-BEST-BUY about getting a price match, and get one for Finer Moments, too.

One reason to buy Understanding America CD from Amazon: in the USA, Amazon loads most UA tracks to your Amazon Cloud Player for free. No Porn War Deluxe or Finer Moments yet, but more of my Amazon CD purchases show up everyday.

I finally got a chance to sit down with this one and I have to say, it's pretty great! Yeah, it's not the original analogue mixes or anything, but it's still a fine package. My interpretation of the album is that Zappa compiled it as a "I told you so" as opposed to a career retrospective. All the songs deal with topics that come into attack during "Porn Wars Deluxe" where the artist is literally fighting for what he stated previously, with the last two songs "Tensile Town Rebellion" and "Jesus Thinks Your A Jerk" being the final indictment of those who are trying to stifle his freedom of speech.

It's a hell of a statement and a great place to see what Zappa the person was about. Understanding America indeed.

The ending of Who Are The Brain Police? is 9 bars longer than on Freak Out!, and 5 bars longer than on Mothermania ... and it seems that a multiband compresser was used to produce this mix.

Worst pick-up line ever.

Upon release of this one, I said that I would not be buying it....well, while browsing a small town strip-mall "culture" store, low and behold, twenty or so FZ cd's (2012 re-issues). I plunked down the twenty-five euros and picked up this one AND Mothermania....

And i must say that i'm pretty glad i did. It's nice to hear these songs in that order.

That's strange, I've been under the impression it's "Hey, darlin', can I buy ya a couple of drinks? Lookin' for Mr. Goodbar? Here he is... Wait a minute... I've got it... You're an Italian! ...Huh? You're Jewish? Love your nails... You must be a Libra... Your place or mine?"

Frank Zappa would hate you. Go bathe in a vat of battery acid.
