An absolute classic! These 27 stream-of-conscious tracks were my introduction to the Captain--as they rightfully should be! Produced by FZ for his Straight Records imprint? there are so many fantastic melodies available here once you get into the groove of this piece. Whether as a blues ballad ("Moonlight On Vermont") or sea shanty ("Orange Claw Hammer") there's much to appreciate throughout this remarkable gem of human endeavor. "The Dust Blows Forward n' The Dust Blows Backs" is one of my favorite spoken word compositions to date and could very well be read at my funeral. Although Lick My Decals will always be my favorite, this album is the quintessential showcase of this variegated artist's many talents.
