Im a Dead fan, but yow thatll cost a bundle. A whole side of Ship of Fools? No thanx. Plus, it seems to be a board mix, not a mixed multitrack tho I cant be sure. Sure, if it was a gift Id be thrilled, but no way Id buy it.

It's meant to be a collector's item for sure. Especially since you can listen to the whole show for free (https://archive.org/details/gd77-05-09.sbd.connor.8304.sbeok.shnf) Curious as to what the "custom-etched 10th side" consists of.

The etch is probably just some image of Jerry, similar to what they did with Absolutely Free.
Anyway, RDS is delayed until June 20.

probably something along the lines of
a very innocent looking skeleton holding a bouquet of roses, smoking a pinner, and holding up the peace sign
(yes, missing the appropriate finger) while sitting indian style in a field of swirls.

Will it help me keep a psychedelic gleam in my eye at all times?

Anyone do Record Store Day 2020.1? I didn't brave the crowds; ordered the Tull, Dr. John, Lothar & the Hand People, and Ned Lagin once they became available online. Skipped the Gong, Kinks, and Bowie for now. Will try to check the local store next week; maybe there'll be some leftovers.

Locally due to Covid-19 lockdown(s) limiting the number of people allowed in a store at one time,
the live entertainment and other fripperies have been postponed until late September.....

Many of the participating stores have made the RSD releases available online though.....

As a surprise, my dear friend the Maldivian Princess got herself masked up and social distanced
her way into my favorite record store in the hell hole that is Auckland to pick up this little
number for me.....

Pink Floyd "Arnold Layne" 7"

According to the blurb:

To celebrate Record Store Day 2020 Pink Floyd release a live recording of the band’s first single, original singer and songwriter Syd Barrett’s best-known song, “Arnold Layne”. The limited-edition, one-sided Record Store Day 7” represents the last live performance of the song by Pink Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, all together in 2007. This special performance of “Arnold Layne” took place at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert at The Barbican on 10 May 2007, with Pink Floyd members augmented by Jon Carin on keyboards and vocals, and Andy Bell from Oasis on bass guitar. After a star-studded line-up throughout the evening, Pink Floyd took to the stage for an incredibly emotional finale. The B-side features an etching that echoes the sleeve and the song’s lyrics.

A: “Arnold Layne
(recorded live at the Barbican Centre, London at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert, 10th May 2007)”
B: Exclusive new etching

The only dilemma is that I may have to travel to thhti Auckland and resist all of her Maldivian feminine wiles to collect it
